Installation Preparation

Sensor - CM-2/EU

CT100 (100A) Large Clamp

CT60 (60A) Small Clamp

CM-2/UK Quantity: -

CM-2/EU Quantity: 2

AWG 14-20 Rated Wiring

Sensor Overview

7: CT Connector

These sockets (CT1, 2, 3, 4) are connecting the CT clamps to CHANNELS 1-4

9: Rating Nameplate

8: Wire Removal Button

Press this button to release the power cables to the device. Please remove the rubber cap to access the button.

4: WIRELESS JOIN Button

Push this button for 5 seconds minimum to connect to a wireless network using WPS.

5:Reset Switch

This button will reset the sensor to its default factory settings.

6: Setting Switch: Pushing this button enables Manual Configuration of the sensor to the Router.

1:NETWORK LED (Blue): The Network LED indicates the communications status. Under normal operation, the Blue LED light is SOLID ON.

2:CT LED (Red): The Red LED will be ON when a CT Clamp is connected incorrectly (opposite orientation). Also, this LED will turn ON during “reverse power” flow (eg. solar-power generation).

3:RADIO LED (Orange)

The Orange LED blinks when the WiFi signal strength is weak.

Installation - Sensor

The wire connection must only be performed by a qualified electrician.

Step 1 - Isolate/Turn off the power

Turn off the main breaker and confirm that there is no power from the grid. If PV is installed, also turn off the PV inverter.

Step 2 - Electrical Connection

Connect a Live wire rated AWG14-20 (not provided) between a branch breaker and the ‘L’ terminal on the sensor.

Connect a Neutral wire rated AWG14-20 (not provided) between the Neutral rail and the ‘N’ terminal on the sensor. Both wires should be stripped between 9-10mm.

Step 3 - Mounting the Sensor

The sensor should be mounted directly to the DIN rail inside the fuse box, or in a suitably rated box next to the fuse box.

Installation - Clamp (s)

Step 1 - Attach CT100 Large Clamp to the Live Feed of the Main Circuit Breaker

Ensure that the clamps arrow is following the flow of electricity into the fuse box (see wiring diagram).

Close the clamp until a click is heard.

This clamp is now secure.

Step 2 – Connect CT100 Large Clamp to the Sensor

Insert the plug end of the CT100 into connection port CT1.

Step 3 – Attach 1x CT60 Small Clamp to Heat Pump Outdoor Unit (if installed)

Insert the plug end of the CT60 into connection port CT2.

For details please check wiring diagram page.

Step 4 – Attach 1x CT60 Small Clamp to PV (if installed)

Insert the plug end of the CT60 into connection port CT3.

For details please check wiring diagram page.

Step 5 – Turn on the power

Turn on the main breaker.

The sensor is now ready to connect to the Wi-Fi network.

If PV is installed, also turn on now.

Network Connection

Ensure that the sensor is within the Wi-Fi range of the router. If required, move the router closer or install a Wi-Fi extender.

Press and hold the WIRELESS JOIN Button of the sensor for longer than 5 seconds.

The NETWORK LED sensor will now flash once every five seconds (wireless connection mode).

Immediately after, press the WPS button on Wi-Fi network router, wait for up to 3 minutes until the NETWORK LED on the sensor is constantly on. The sensor is now connected.

If connection fails, repeat again until the connection is made.

If the sensor fails to connect to the Wi-Fi network router after multiple attempts, or the router does not have a WPS button, then the sensor must be manually connected to the router. For detailed instructions of this process, please check here.

Sensor Registration
